Research Question

My research question is a little different. I chose to do a compare and contrast between piracy in the music industry and piracy in the film industry. I think this is a good idea to research because there is alot of  information about both aspects of media piracy. After doing some pre searching, I found that many people are looking at piracy as a crime that is worth committing because the risks are very low, but the reward is extremely high. Pirates and counterfeiters can make more money than drug dealers and do not face the same risks. Since the act of piracy can so easily be done from home, its hard to catch every single person who commits the crime. An article I found online stated that the economy looses almost 5 billion dollars each year due to this act. One aspect I would like to research more, is how the film and music industry plan to adjust to media piracy. What changes can they make to make sure they do not loose any more money?
