Peer review is the process of having another individual evaluate and crettic your work. This person is usually in the same field of study or class so that you can guarantee a high level of review. You want to make sure the person making corrections know the information well so that they wont let any errors go by mistakenly. Peer review is important because other people usually spot out errors and weakness in your work better than you can. This way, your information is verified for validity and ready to be submitted. You can tell if an article has been peer reviewed based on the length and the actual context. Articles that have been peer reviewed go into more depth and contain more terminology than common magazine articles. A good time to use the peer review process in your research is when you want to verify your primary sources. Getting another opinion is always a good idea. On a daily bases we use the peer review process. You exercise this act when you comment a ones outfit, discuss a tv show or when you get help with homework. With all of these, your are exchanging ideas and receiving constructive criticism. During my research, I will seek peer review from one of my classmates to make sure my information is factual and makes sense.
